Starting out as a "Music Together® Mom" herself, Rosemary Hennessy considers it a blessing to combine her passion for music and her love for children and call it her job! She has so much fun seeing the joy music brings to the faces of her students, both parents and children. She creates a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
Teacher Rosie is a licensed director and certified teacher. She trained in Princeton in the fall of 2002 and continues to deepen her understanding of music and young children by attending various workshops and lessons throughout each year.
In June 2008, the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ, awarded Rosemary the Music Together Certification Level 1 status for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education.
In July 2009, Rosemary completed a graduate level Orff-Schulwerk course at Villanova University. The Orff philosophy combines the elements of speech, rhythm, movement, dance, and song. At the heart of all this is improvisation: the instinct children have to create their own melodies and to explore their imaginations. With this certification, Rosemary is qualified to teach children from birth through elementary school.
Teacher Rosie has been teaching the Music Together curriculum for over sixteen years.
